1. What they are
Cookies are small pieces of data a website stores in the browser to maintain a session or remember a choice. Other technologies, such as local storage, perform similar functions. This policy explains both.
2. Cookies used by Codenergy
Current cookies are first-party or managed by providers delivering strictly necessary functions:
- Supabase Auth session: maintains authenticated access and securely refreshes session tokens. Its duration depends on the session and authentication configuration.
- codenergy_idioma: remembers Spanish or English for up to 12 months and prevents the interface from changing unexpectedly between visits.
- codenergy_organizacion and codenergy_proyecto: remember an account's active context. They do not grant permissions; the server rechecks membership and role.
- codenergy-vista: temporarily remembers the selected demo profile. It cannot expand an account's actual permissions.
- codenergy_analitica: stores for up to 180 days whether you accepted or rejected Google Analytics, so we do not ask on every visit.
3. Analytics and errors
PostHog measures limited page views and product outcomes with persistence disabled: it does not store identity in cookies, localStorage, or sessionStorage, respects Do Not Track, and uses no automatic capture, heatmaps, surveys, or recordings. URLs are cleaned before transmission.
Google Analytics measures acquisition and navigation on the public website only when you choose Allow analytics. Advertising signals, ad personalization, and measurement inside the authenticated product are disabled. If you choose Necessary only, the tag is not loaded.
Sentry may receive technical error information when configured. Default PII capture is disabled. None of these services is used for targeted advertising.
4. How to control these technologies
You can review your Google Analytics preference using the button on this page and delete or block cookies from your browser. If you block necessary cookies, sign-in, project selection, or language may stop working correctly. The Do Not Track signal disables analytics that honors it.
Within the application, local storage remembers only device preferences, such as whether the sidebar is collapsed. Clearing it resets the presentation and does not delete project information.
